Hello!

First of all, thanks for following the link and checking out my new blog! This is something I have dreamed of doing for a long time, so I am nervous, but also excited, to finally begin.

Second, as I begin this journey, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. Though born and raised in small town Alaska, I now live in Idaho. I have a passion for well-told stories, whether that be through the medium of the written word or photography. Though still learning and growing in my craft (as we all are doing interminably), I am happy where I am, discovering my distinct personal voice, hand, and eye as a creator.

I am not sure yet exactly where this blog is going. I have a vision and general direction, but I look forward to seeing the specific niche themes that develop, allowing me to create more focused content. I do know, however, that this is a project of passion, and I am excited to witness how it forms and changes me as a writer, creator, and human.

My intention is to create a post once a week, hopefully on the basic idea of being a developing creative. I also intend to present weekly challenges. These will be things that I am personally thinking about and working on, but would be excited for you to join me in. At the end of each week I would love to discuss with you how the challenges have impacted us! Additionally, since photography is another of my loves, it is my plan to post only images that are either mine, or those of my acquaintances, who will be credited. If you are a fellow creative (that’s all of you, we’re made in the image of a creator, after all), I would love to connect with you.

Kudos for reading even this far– I thank you, and I hope you’ll choose to continue following along. Peace be with you.
